The "Original Band" was in reality a bad deal in the long run for Kiss. I think after this album (one of the best KISS put out) they lost a lot of creativity and the band has been on a down hill slide ever since. Put "Psycho Circus" next to this and watch "Psycho" wilt in embarrasment!!!! For as great as Carr was Singer shows him no lack of respect by playing his ass off on this. Gene finally writes SONGS and Bruce's playing is unbelievable!! Everything you hear about this cd is true, probably the best non-makeup era Kiss album and Ezrin's production just makes it heavy and dark as shit.
